The official language of the conference is English. All abstract submissions and presentations are to be conducted in English.

Weather

The month of May is characterized by rapidly rising daily high temperatures, with daily highs increasing from 16°C to 20°C over the course of the month.

 

Banking & Exchange

The Polish unit of currency is the zloty, which in translation means golden. The sign of zloty is “zl” or PLN. One zloty is equivalent to one hundred grosz which is the smaller unit.

ATMs are available throughout the country. Foreign currency may be changed at banks during normal banking hours, at hotels, at airports and in exchange offices. Banking hours are Monday through Friday from 8AM till 6PM. All major credit cards are acceptable in most hotels, restaurants and shops.

 

Visas

All participants are required to have a valid passport, and for some countries, a visa is required. Participants from EU countries do not require a visa for stays of less than three months, nor do participants from Australia, New Zealand, the USA or Canada. If you are from a country that is not listed, you should check with your nearest Polish embassy or consulate as to the requirements. Should you need a visa, it is advisable to apply well in advance as they can be time consuming to process.

It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required.
